The pedestrian footbridge outside Guanmenkou Village in Tsuen Wan was stunned by the mud bucket of a dump truck last night, causing the footbridge to shift.
This (8th) morning, a reporter from "Hong Kong 01" visited the site and found a gap on the bridge deck, with a direct view of the Texaco road surface.
When the reporter arrived, the contractor staff was present to inspect the scene. After measurement, the staff found that the bridge floor was displaced by 70 mm. They used a cordon to enclose the left and right displacement range of the overpass, but did not block the entire overpass.
Some nearby villagers believe that for safety reasons, the overpass should be temporarily closed for detailed inspection.

At 11 o'clock last night, a dump truck was driving along Texaco Road in Tsuen Wan towards Tsing Yi. When it was near Guan Men Kou Village, the bucket of the dump truck suddenly rose and hurriedly slammed a 7-meter-high flyover. The bridge body is staggered and displaced.
The police arrived at the scene to investigate, and the driver involved was able to pass an alcohol breath test, so he was arrested on suspicion of "driving under the influence".
As the driver was injured in the waist after the accident, he was sent to hospital by ambulance for examination.
