On Wednesday, March 10, at 1:30 p.m., the Konex 2020 Awards will take place: Sports, to those who have shown the best work in this activity in the last decade (2010-2019) in Argentina.
It will take place in the Patio of Ciudad Cultural Konex (Sarmiento 3131, CABA) with the sole presence of winners and jurors.
In this event, the Platinum Konex will be awarded, a distinction that is awarded to the best exponents of the 21 disciplines into which the Sports activity is divided.
Among the awards will be the Konex of Honor, an
award that is awarded to a prominent figure who has died in the last decade
and this time it
will be for the golfer Roberto De Vicenzo who died on June 1, 2017
.

In addition, various teams, foundations and events will receive special mentions.
Among the winners will be the
Argentine Team that won the Davis Cup in 2016
,
the Men's Hockey Team of the same year and the Men's Softball Team 2019
.
There will also be awards for Javier Zanetti's PUPI Foundation and for the event called La Carrera de Miguel, in tribute to the athlete who disappeared during the last dictatorship, Miguel Sánchez.
There will also be a Lifetime Achievement Award for Oscar Panno.
The selection of these figures has been in charge of the
Grand Jury of the 2020 Konex Awards, made up of 20 personalities and chaired by Emanuel Ginobili
and with Gabriela Sabatini as Special Guest.
Gaby won the Konex in 2000.
Among the Platinum Konex, the Grand Jury selected the most outstanding personality of the Argentine Sports decade to receive the Brilliant Konex, the highest award granted by the Konex Foundation.
The decision of the Grand Jury has been to award the Konex de Brillante to Lionel Messi.
In the previous Konex Sports Awards, the Konex de Brillante went to Juan Manuel Fangio in 1980, Diego Armando Maradona in 1990, Gabriela Sabatini in 2000 and Emanuel Ginobili in 2010.
