Extreme weather is announced: In the course of the week a storm will come to Germany with some gale-force gusts.
North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony are particularly affected.
Munich / Berlin - The weather in Germany is causing tension among the citizens of the Federal Republic.
Because: It may not make a real decision at the moment.
Is winter over at the beginning of March or is it going to be icy again?
Are the temperatures coming really mild, or is spring going to prevail?
Weather in Germany: A storm with orange-like gusts is approaching
What is sure to come, are decent winds.
Specifically: It should be stormy from the middle of the week, by Thursday (March 11th) at the latest.
"Trees can fall over and objects can fly through the air," explains Anna Gröbel, meteorologist from
wetter.com
: "The peak of the storm is on Thursday, but it doesn't calm down that quickly after that either."
In the center of the adverse weather: Northwest Germany between northern North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony and Hamburg.
Wind forces of up to 110 km / h are therefore possible.
Weather in Germany: Between north and south it remains very windy for days
Gröbel describes “hurricane-like gusts from North Rhine-Westphalia up to North Friesland.
Then there is a real hurricane on the Brocken ”.
Stormy gusts are also possible in the south, "especially in the mountains," explains Gröbel.
The storm is therefore carried to Germany by a good southwest wind.
This has further consequences: According to the meteorologist, there are sometimes heavy rains in the northeast and in the middle of the Federal Republic, while in the south there are sometimes mild temperatures of up to 15 degrees.
On the coming weekend (March 12th to 14th) it should finally remain very windy throughout Germany.
During the day, temperatures level between north and south between eight and twelve degrees.
So spring is here, but still very tentative for the time being.
