The investigation started with a simple click of the mouse and allowed the police to seize, on the night from Sunday to Monday, a large quantity of drugs: nearly 100 kg of cocaine hidden in the false floor of a van traveling on the roads of Pas-de-Calais, in Coquelles.

This seizure is the very first made thanks to the new digital platform which, launched last Wednesday, allows everyone to report deal points near their home to the police or the gendarmerie.
24 hours a day and anonymously, the population can now, in all discretion, transmit information on trafficking in writing.
In the flood of 700 reports already collected in a few days by means of this new device, the information is
"sometimes elusive, sometimes incomplete"
, describes Caroline Mougnaud, head of the online digital police station.
In this case, the official who is behind his screen can try to revive the anonymous interlocutor.
