Former Democratic Legislative Council Member Xu Zhifeng announced his departure in December last year and stayed in the UK temporarily with his family.
Xu Zhifeng posted a message on Facebook in the early morning of today (9th) that he had left the UK and arrived in Australia and began to undergo a 14-day compulsory quarantine.
Xu Zhifeng said in the article that after moving to Australia this time, he has struggled in his heart, considering the international situation and strategic analysis, as well as family considerations.
It also pointed out that family members in Australia have more support from relatives and friends, and if the family is settled down, they can walk farther with peace of mind.
Xu Zhifeng also pointed out that as in the past three months when he was in the UK, he entered Australia with a tourist visa. There is currently no idea of applying for political asylum, saying that unless there is no other choice in the future, applying for asylum will be the last option.
