Above all, it was a difficult time in the first weeks of March 2020 - for him, his company, his employees, his family, especially for his mother Hedi.
The then 61-year-old, manager of the Hotel zum Bad am Krüner Bärnbichl, was Corona patient two in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district.
A Murnauer was the first to be infected with the virus after a vacation in South Tyrol.

Some of the citizens of Krün took Martin Paschek, who runs the Werdenfels spatial art in Krün with 15 employees, his family and his employees in clan custody.
“That was bad when people call you at home and verbally abuse you.” His employees even experienced a gauntlet run in the village when they were insulted very grossly as “Corona chunks”.
It was already clear then that the test results were all negative.
But hardly any of the “concerned citizens” let this deter them from capitulating their fears on the Pascheks.
Denunciation celebrated a happy birth.
When Martin Paschek could no longer help himself, he sought the way to the public, made public what was happening in Krün, how badly he was played along.
“I just had to pull the handbrake.
It was only after the article in the daily newspaper that the situation changed and calmed down relatively quickly, ”he says.

He is not resentful, nor does he want to re-launch.
Today, the relationship with the Krüner is as it was before, says Martin Paschek.
Although none of those who terrorized his family and employees at the time and who had misappropriated them in tone, who declared them to be virus-spreaders, ever apologized to him.
Apparently he has taker qualities.
He makes it clear: "There are no scars or injuries."
"Good," says Paschek, his mother is also doing again, although she sometimes complains of shortness of breath and other ailments that she attributes to the corona infection.
According to Martin Paschek, she handed over the management of the Hotel zum Bad, which she has run with her husband Engelbert since 1983, to his siblings in the summer of last year.

No guests, no income.
And the state, which has promised generous immediate financial aid, is also leaving its two brothers in the lurch.
“To this day, no money has flowed, no euro.” His business, on the other hand, is flourishing.
“We are busy.

The hotel and catering industry, which he equips with his company - "everyone in the district somehow lives from tourism" - hope for an early easing and an opening strategy of politics.
However, they can only work and last if large parts of the population are vaccinated and there is herd immunity.
Paschek will not be one of those who have had a vaccine injected.
He is one of the vaccine skeptics, more precisely: He is a vaccine refuser.
When asked whether he would have a serum injected, he answered unequivocally: “Never in his life.” And his mother?
“I don't think so either.” The memories of what a corona infection can trigger are still fresh.
“The consequences of the corona pandemic also pose great challenges for pharmacies - and lead to enormous losses.
Many drugs are slow to go.
