24th in the Vendée Globe, the Riviera sailor recounted having had nightmares involving the President of the Republic.

The media tour is part of the Vendée Globe.

And like the other sailors, Alexia Barrier dived into it after arriving in Les Sables d'Olonne.

Invited Monday morning from France of France Bleu Azur, a week after setting foot on land, the sailor of the monohull TSE - 4myplanet gave her news: “I am happy to have returned home to Biot this weekend. after a media tour in Paris.

I haven't landed yet.

I spent the weekend in MD mode, eat-sleep.

It was perfect, but it's surprising to see the restaurants and bars closed. ”

Ranked twenty-fourth and penultimate in the Vendée Globe for her first round the world, after being injured a few days before her arrival, the Riviera sailor also recounted her planetary journey, her doubts, her struggles and her little pleasures, like a meeting after forty days with a seal.

"We looked eye to eye, it was moving," she told our colleagues from France Bleu.

More surprisingly, Alexia Barrier returned to an episode of her Vendée Globe which marked her.

Asked about a possible invitation to Emmanuel Macron's Elysee Palace, the Southerner said: “I dreamed of him twice.

He gave me two nightmares.

It was about the environment, I woke up shouting "No, it's not possible Macron!"

It was a little familiar in the manner of speaking for the President ”.

And to add: "It made me have nightmares these stories of preservation of the planet.

Because we do nothing, because he did nothing.

It was finally a premonitory dream because when I come home I see that the citizens' convention has fallen by the wayside ”.

Initially in 2024

Very involved in the preservation of the planet, Alexia Barrier, like other sailors, dropped a beacon during her round the world trip to study weather phenomena in very little known corners of the planet.

And to conclude with good news, she announced that she would set off again in 2024 for a second Vendée Globe.

“My partners TSE, Biotonic and the Alpes Maritimes department are following me.

I have always said: a Vendée Globe to see and another to win.

I don't know if I will win but we will give ourselves the means to have a competitive boat ”.

To go back and, hopefully for her, have sweet presidential dreams.
