The governor of Jujuy, Gerardo Morales, maintained a strong crossroads with neighbors in the midst of the signing ceremony for the construction of a school, which was opposed to the demand for more green spaces and not to remove the soccer field from the place.

The provincial president inaugurated on Monday the work of the new Secondary School No. 39 in the Campo Verde neighborhood of San Salvador de Jujuy.

And he highlighted its importance because in that area from Alto La Viña, Bajo La Viña, Campo Verde, Chijra and Los Perales,

"there is only one public secondary school

.

"

However, when he arrived at the place, he found a large group of people who were there to ask that the establishment, which will require an investment of 90 million pesos, be built in another place and not in the neighborhood field.

"I can't believe the slogan is 'court yes, school no,'"

Morales told the protesters, whom he identified with militants from the Tupac Amaru, Milagro Sala's group.

However, according to the slogan

El Tribuno de Jujuy

, the neighbors denied being "tupaqueros" and assured that they were there to request that the construction be carried out in another place, in order to maintain the neighborhood court.

The residents of Campo Verde demand that the school be built in another place and not in the place of the neighborhood soccer field.

"The priority is the school, not the field. They

should be ashamed

. Two blocks away there is a field, three blocks away there is another," the governor reproached them amid the shouts of the neighbors.

In addition, he said that

the officials who came to work at the site were stoned

, along with the trucks that transported the materials, when they began to schedule the construction of the school.

After the act, the provincial president visited the police officers who were injured during an operation in the Campo Verde neighborhood, where they clashed with residents who oppose the construction of the educational building.

Visibly angry, Morales told them that opposing the construction of a school establishment

"is a crime"

and

He remarked: "To prevent, to prohibit, the creation of a school

is a crime,

because to prevent a school and to prevent education is to kill the years of children, it is to kill the years of a young person, it is to kill the possibility of progress of a young person, because in education there is freedom ".

The Jujuy governor then continued with his indignation through social networks, with a series of tweets where he maintained that

"education is the fundamental pillar of progress and social advancement

.

"

"Those who oppose the education of their children to prioritize a field,

must make an examination of their conscience

and review the structure of their values," Morales tweeted.

Opposing Education is a criminal act that I repudiate, since education is the fundamental pillar of progress and social advancement.

We need more public schools for families in the neighborhood that cannot access private institutions and thus guarantee equal access to Education.
