According to the preliminary land use budget of the Planning Department, it is expected that the completion of the North Link and the Xintian Station will bring opportunities in the future. The Xintian/Lok Ma Chau Hub will reserve 33 hectares of land for residential purposes, with a plot ratio ranging from 3.6 to 7 times , A total of more than 31,000 residential units can be built in the area, and public housing accounts for 70%.

In the next stage of investigation and study and detailed design, the authorities will explore the development potential brought about by making good use of the transportation infrastructure to further increase the possibility of housing supply.

In terms of economic and employment purposes, the Planning Department initially reserves a total of about 70 hectares of land for integrated commercial and residential areas, enterprise and technology parks, as well as retail, catering and entertainment land. It is estimated that about 64,000 employment opportunities will be provided to improve work and housing. Balanced; of which 57 hectares of land for enterprises and science and technology parks, the department stated that it can cooperate with the development of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park in the Lok Ma Chau Loop to achieve synergy.



The Planning Department also stated that in the future, the "Lohas Avenue", which is convenient for pedestrians and bicycles, will run through the entire San Tin/Lok Ma Chau Development Hub.
