A 15-year-old boy was killed and his 12-year-old friend was seriously injured in a shooting incident tonight (Tuesday) in Jaljulia.

Police have opened an investigation.

Initially, MDA and the police reported that they were two moderately-severely injured, when when they arrived at the scene, the paramedics treated and evacuated them to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. The 12th is currently in stable condition, is being treated in a trauma room, is undergoing resuscitation and will later be transferred to an operating room.

A senior MDA paramedic, Atef Salem, said: "When we arrived at the scene, there was a great commotion. The 2 wounded were lying on the road suffering gunshot wounds.
