A 60-year-old man perished last night (Tuesday) in a fire that broke out in a residential apartment on Uruguay Street in Jerusalem.

Firefighters and rescuers who arrived at the scene around 01:00 located the man in the apartment unconscious and rescued him, but the MDA team was forced to determine his death. The

MDA teams provided them with medical treatment on the spot and evacuated them to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva during resuscitation operations, where they were pronounced dead.



According to relatives, the children were sleeping in the room when the fire broke out. The mother who noticed the flare quickly called one of the relatives. Said Abu Abu 'Abed, the pediatrician who treated the three, noted that they were affected by smoke inhalation, and that soot marks were visible on their bodies.
