The Constitution and Hong Kong Basic Law together constitute the constitutional basis of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The electoral system implemented by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, including the method for selecting the Chief Executive and the Legislative Council, is an important part of the political system of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
