Out of the corona lockdown: Retail in the district has been open again since Monday.

The customers were happy - the regulations cause confusion.

Geretsried / Wolfratshausen - The low seven-day incidence in the district makes it possible: After a compulsory break for weeks, the shops reopened on Monday.

Retailers are relieved after the lockdown, which has been in place since mid-December.

The customers accept the offer.

There was hustle and bustle on Monday in both Geretsried and Wolfratshausen.

Sandra Wagner carries three bulging, large bags from a clothing store with her.

“I have four children who I shopped for,” she explains.

The Geretsriederin was very happy about the shopping spree, despite the haulage: “You get a bit of life back,” says the 40-year-old.

"You finally see people again, that makes so much difference."

I'm particularly happy for the business.

It was then clear that I would go back to the shops instead of looking on the Internet "

Caroline Pauli from Ascholding

Face-to-face shopping is not only a step forward for customers, as Carolina Pauli says: “I'm particularly happy for the shops.

It was then clear that I would go back to the shops instead of looking on the Internet ”- also because advice and human contacts in the shop cannot be replaced.

The Ascholdinger is happy “that life is finally back on the streets”.

But she is annoyed with some contemporaries who do not adhere to the distance requirement: "We don't want to gamble away these loosenings right away."

The 37-year-old used the first day after the forced closure and ran some errands in the Isar department store in Geretsried.

Its managing director Frederik Holthaus is satisfied with the first day.

“There are a lot of people around and it's going well.” As he speaks, a woman walks past him.

“It's nice that you can finally open again,” she calls out to Holthaus.

“Yes, after twelve weeks,” he replies and smiles.

“Madness” says the customer and continues her stroll.

Even if the retailers only heard about the starting shot on Thursday, Holthaus had no problems with the delivery of goods: “We got our spring and summer collections early.” The winter clothing that was in the closed department store during the lockdown, “we can maybe sell next winter ”.

A spark of hope - for customers and for entrepreneurs

In Wolfratshausen, too, many people use the reopening after the lockdown for a shopping spree.

"Of course I am happy that the stores are allowed to open again," says Renate Händl from Baierbrunn.

She enjoys "that little bit of hope that the easing regains".

The opening also gives hope to entrepreneurs.

“You generally notice a relief that things are moving forward again.

We were able to welcome some customers back to the store today, ”says Stefan Fischer from the traditional costume store Fischer-Pflügl.

Incidence regulations could cause confusion

Fritz Schnaller from the Raritätenstube is also satisfied: “It's nice when people come back to the market.” In his view, the current regulations could cause irritation: If the corona incidence is stable between 50 and 100, customers can only shop according to previously agreed dates.

If the value in the district is above 100 for three days in a row, this option no longer applies.

If the incidence is below 50 - as is currently the case - shops can let customers in without an appointment - one person per ten square meters of shop space.

"I can imagine that some people do not see it immediately," says Schnaller.

Some dealers need more lead time and are still closed

As an antiques dealer, Schnaller is in a comfortable position: “I already had my range there.” It is partly different with clothing stores.

That is why Ines Boodevaar, owner of three fashion stores in the old town, decided to wait until Friday to open them.

"The message that we could get started again came at fairly short notice, we still need a little lead time," explains the businesswoman.
