In the area of the Moosburg police force, the number of crimes is increasing.
We provide insights into the 2020 crime statistics - which also have positive news in store.
Moosburg
- The bad news first: Moosburg's police officers were again more busy last year.
According to the Moosburg Inspection's 2020 crime statistics, 1,267 more crimes were committed than in 2019. This is contrary to the trend recorded by the Upper Bavaria North Police Headquarters as a whole and for the Freising district.
Now the good news: The clearance rate also increased and at 74.4 percent (previous year: 72.8) represents a high value in a 15-year comparison. Here, too, it is above the district and presidium value.
Looking at this longer period of time, the number of registered crimes is falling.
The sad peak of the frequency (criminal offenses per 1000 inhabitants) in the inspection area is shown by the places Moosburg (44), Nandlstadt (27) and Au (18), the positive bottom lights are Wauern and Hörgertshausen (9 each).

While physical injuries increased only slightly, the police recorded a sharp increase in crimes against sexual self-determination: 46 instead of the 20 cases in the previous year.
As PI head Christian Bidinger explained when asked, this increase was not due to more rape in public space, but was due, for example, in 22 cases to the distribution of forbidden pornographic material.
Stricter legislators would also have fueled the effect.
Corona leads to more fraud in online purchases
The fact that only seven burglaries were reported was rated as “pleasing”.
The cases of bicycle and shoplifting as well as drug offenses also fell slightly.
Physical injuries increased slightly (from 125 to 134 cases).
The investigators report a blatant increase in the fraud area: "The 176 offenses (previous year 116) are of great importance here." According to the police, it is noticeable at this point that "due to the corona pandemic, goods were bought more frequently on the Internet".
