Traveling Tuesday to Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire (Nièvre) to present the plan to revive investment in the health system, Jean Castex announced a salary increase for doctors in private non-profit hospitals, largely forgotten by “Ségur of health ”.
The price increases for health establishments, which will come into force in March, will include the cost of this measure, which the Prime Minister has not specified, but which should amount to several tens of millions of euros.

It is also a great relief for these establishments which feared "
a flight
" of their doctors towards the public hospital that "Ségur" would have made more attractive.
Halfway between public hospitals and private clinics, these establishments, which account for 10% of care in France with flagships such as Saint-Joseph hospital in Paris or Foch hospital in Suresnes, combine the best of both worlds: they fulfill public service missions with the organizational flexibility of the private sector.
They have some 14,000 doctors, working in sector 1 without exceeding fees.
These practitioners should therefore be aligned with the 100,000 doctors in the public, who had obtained under the "Ségur" a revaluation of "the compensation for exclusive public service commitment" which now reaches 1,010 euros gross monthly.
There remains a subject on which they have not won their case: the possibility of making private consultations, which are prohibited to them today… while they are authorized in the public.
