Trouble is looming in Kranzberg: the applicants for a plot of land in the local model are in the queue.

There will be even more interested parties by the summer.

Kranzberg

- With the new building area in Gremertshausen, the municipality of Kranzberg wants to offer young locals affordable building land and long-term prospects at home.

For the process so far, one also earned admiring glances from the Allershausen neighborhood, but not everything that shines on the green meadow at the exit of Gremertshausen in the direction of Freising seems to be gold.

Currently only about half of the plots have been taken.

As for the other areas, the hopeful applicants are in the air.

20 applicants for eight properties in Gremertshausen

The municipality of Kranzberg had offered 17 plots in the local model, nine have already been taken.

For the remaining eight spaces, 20 applicants remain from the last procedure.

But they have to be patient for a few more months and then start again from scratch in a new process.

There is currently a lot of grumbling because the applicants are expecting a second award round and nothing is moving forward.

In addition, applicants without children feel discriminated against, because so far almost only young families with offspring have come into play.

"It all smells like that the community is currently playing for time," grumbles one of the applicants, "maybe you want to wait and see whether one or the other of them pulls out of their own accord for financial reasons during these difficult times."

Kranzberg's mayor cannot hope that things will go any faster

Mayor Hermann Hammerl knows about the displeasure, but cannot give the applicants any hope of an early decision.

On May 25th, the Social Affairs Committee will deal with the application guidelines - they have to be revised again.

“So far we had three lawyers, and now we have a fourth legal opinion,” says the mayor.

"It must now also be reflected in the guidelines."

The municipal council must then adopt the new statutes with the changed guidelines - only then can the allocation of the eight remaining plots begin.

“Of course, the remaining applicants wanted to make the decision among themselves,” says Hammerl.

But he is legally obliged to give all citizens the opportunity to throw their hat into the ring.

So now new applications can be added or existing ones can be modified.

In the case of two families, the mayor knows very specifically that they will rise significantly in the list of applicants in the summer.

Then the two families have had their primary residence for five years in the municipality of Kranzberg.

And for this there is the maximum number of points in an essential section of the points scheme - because then you are legally considered a local.

And there is still the possibility that more applicants for the local model will come.

Anyone who does not get a piece of land in such a procedure feels at a disadvantage in the end.

Kranzberg's mayor Hermann Hammerl

Mayor Hammerl understands the criticism, which, as he says, is neither new nor surprising: "Anyone who does not get a plot of land in such a procedure feels disadvantaged in the end." The Kranzberg timetable with the sale of building land for locals, the eight remaining open plots in Gremertshausen will be awarded in autumn this year.

The next chance for building land should be in the main town of Kranzberg in 2023.

Then there are 14 plots for sale.

It is already certain that there will be significantly more applicants than properties in autumn and two years from now.

Settlement pressure in the region is increasing.
