Deir Ezzor City Council has started implementing a project to replace the damaged parts of the sewage network in the Al-Mukhtaf neighborhood, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The head of Deir Ezzor City Council, Eng. Raed Mandil, said in a statement to SANA’s correspondent today that in response to citizens ’complaints about the existence of problems in the sewage network in the staff neighborhood and after conducting a technical examination of a number of streets, it became clear that parts of the network must be replaced. Neighborhood streets.
In turn, the Director of Technical Affairs of the City Council, Engineer Samih Al-Khalil, indicated that the works include changing the old sewage network with a 40-cm polyethylene network of pipes, up to a distance of about 350 meters, in addition to concrete inspection rooms, rain drainage points, and the restoration of the asphalt shirt.
A number of residents praised the efforts made by the city council and other government agencies in providing basic services to the neighborhood.
