Craig Herringon, a British home remodeler who worked on installing a new kitchen in a home in Perth, Scotland, dismantled the tiles to install news - and found a hidden surprise under the floor: a handwritten note with a surprising gift - a bottle of whiskey.
He shared his discovery on Tiktok, writing that it was great but that he was not sure he would drink it.
In the video, he said: "So we took out the kitchen tiles and found a message under the floor."
He bends over and exclaims: "Jack and May lived here - with three children and a dog. The kitchen was renovated during April and May 2001. All the best, the drink is upon us."

It turns out that the previous occupants of this house left its future occupants a small bottle of Glenkinchi whiskey next to the wall.
Although the message on the note was not so fascinating, it is always nice to learn something about the previous tenants and get a drink at the expense of the house.
The video garnered tens of thousands of views on Tiktok and most of the comments were sympathetic.
"Oh, nice idea. I have to do this when I leave my house," wrote one of the followers.
Others advised him to keep the bottle of whiskey because it might be worth more money in the future and although Craig wrote that he did not intend to try to drink the bottle, whiskey experts explained that if the cork remained sealed it could be drunk safely.
Following the viral publicity on social media, the British media reported that the surprise waiting for the new apartment owner was actually from her father - from whom she bought the house, and she promised to keep the bottle and a piece from the floor as a souvenir.
