Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed during a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields and push them forward to broader horizons, in addition to the regional developments.
The Egyptian Middle East Anaa news agency quoted the Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez as saying that Shukri and Lavrov also consulted about the latest developments in the regional files, including the developments of the Palestinian issue and efforts to advance the peace process, as well as exchanging views on the situation in Libya.
The spokesman added that the two ministers noted the distinguished level reached by bilateral relations between Egypt and Russia, as well as the increase in the pace of coordination and joint consultations in various fields to achieve the interests of the two countries.
