Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - Hurray, we're off again!

Since Monday, the athletes in the district have been able to pursue their favorite hobby again.

The sports editorial team asked the clubs how the restart is going after the months-long Corona break.

Thanks to the currently low incidence value, outdoor activities without contact but with groups of up to 10 adults or 20 children are allowed.

  • According to the Corona step-by-step plan, outdoor sports with groups of up to ten people can be practiced again this week.

  • The clubs in the district bring children and young people back into training.

  • Many indoor athletes move their training sessions outdoors.

Soccer / adults

Martin Grelics had scheduled the first training session for the TuS Geretsried national league soccer team for Monday evening.

"It was clear to all of us that we wanted to get back together as a group as quickly as possible," reports the coach.

The Isarau Stadium was immediately released by the city and the main club - curiously, exactly one year after the last game before the first Corona lockdown (March 8, 2020 at 2-2 in Ehekirchen).

Grelics does not regard the current training as “classic preparation”, especially since it is completely open whether and when the season will continue.

"The most important thing is that the boys have fun with each other and train their bodies to prevent possible injuries in anticipation of the next season," emphasizes the trainer.

He hopes "that much more will soon be possible".

In other words, football with contact, as it would be allowed in the Corona step-by-step plan from March 22nd.

The footballers of SV Bad Tölz also took the opportunity and started training.

On Tuesday we went back to the field, on Thursday again, and next week three times.

In groups of 10 per half of the game, in consultation with the District Office.

"I am happy that we can get back on the pitch and, despite the restrictions, we can definitely prepare for the start of the season again," says Daniel Heidemann.

Back to the basics, passing and technique.

“But that's not wrong after the long break,” emphasizes the coach.

The main thing: "We can do something with the ball." Heidemann also created individual training plans for his players during the break: "I can now control them."

Soccer / kids

"After the long break, the children are dying to finally be able to play football again," said Mondi Hattab.

The E-youth trainer and new youth leader has therefore re-released training in the Isarau Stadium for all of the TuS Geretsried's junior teams.

"There are still a few specific tips from the football association missing, but contactless exercises in groups of ten are definitely possible." During the exercises, the coaches use the tried and tested measures from last year.

“There are no forms of play and duels, because the focus is on technique, coordination and shooting on goal,” explains Hattab.

At SV Bad Tölz, the young footballers have been back on the pitch since Monday.

There are clear entry and exit rules: the players move, the cubicles and showers are closed.

tennis

As a non-contact sport in the fresh air, tennis is practically the ideal discipline these days.

“Unfortunately, our seats are not ready for training after the winter break.

The ground is too muddy and too soft ”, regrets Christopher Hahn from the STC Oberland, to which the STC Geretsried recently merged with the TC Wolfratshausen.

Otherwise, with an incidence of less than 50, even double pairings would be allowed.

On the other hand, the artificial turf courts on the Geretsrieder area are already booked: “Outdoor padel tennis works for singles and doubles,” reports Hahn, who expects his tennis halls to open from March 22nd if the number of infections remains constant.

athletics

Suddenly everything happened very quickly.

“I didn't even notice that we were allowed to train from Monday,” says Toni Holzer.

The athletics youth warden of TSV Wolfratshausen is expecting his young athletes for the first session in the Isar-Loisach Stadium this Wednesday.

It is the turn of the youth over 14 years of age, on Friday the first training for children will take place.

Holzer has already registered that the little ones can no longer wait after the long break: "Some have already asked whether we will go to our compulsory training camp again at Easter." Of course, the youth warden cannot promise that.

But now the first thing is to get going again despite the previous online training and to work on the technique after endurance and strength.

"We use our Corona-compatible concepts from the previous year," reports Holzer.

That means, for example, that you are currently doing without the relay race.

The long and high jump is currently not possible anyway due to the weather.

The athletes of the LG Oberland want to start training again this week.

"We will inform the participants in a circular," says LGO chairwoman Eva Stadler.

“We want to attack again.” Until now, only the squad athletes were allowed to train, the rest were left to their own devices.

The training is now tailored to the participants and different groups are put together.

Ice hockey / children

ESC Geretsried makes a virtue out of necessity.

There is currently no ice in the Heinz Schneider Stadium, and indoor sports are also not allowed.

"But our trainers use the tried and tested concepts from last year and bring the children and young people back to training," reports Markus Gregor.

According to the youth leader, the individual teams will practice outdoors in front of the ice rink - and of course contactlessly and at a distance.

“It's all about fitness and coordination,” explains Gregor.

Since the stadium is to be put into operation as early as possible this year, “this is an optimal way of preparing the children and young people for ice training”.

Handball

You don't want to rush anything at HSG Isar-Loisach.

"Now we are holding a board meeting and a coaching meeting," reports Markus Goblirsch.

According to the women's and junior coach, it is, among other things, about adapting various Corona concepts from the previous year with regard to the start of indoor training.

While beach handball is not an option due to the lack of a suitable clay court in Geretsried or Wolfratshausen, the HSG is definitely considering training outdoors for the time being.

"We still have to discuss the space allocation with the other departments," says Goblirsch.

If everything goes well, you could train running exercises, ball handling and goal throwing, especially with the next generation of handball players, in non-contact units.

volleyball

The volleyball players at TV Lenggries are eager to return to training.

"We immediately thought about how we would react to the new regulations," says department head Christian Keiler.

Now the weather just has to play along, then the foxes will return to training - at least outside.

"We would love to get started," assures Keiler.

Meanwhile, there was even a chance for some of the Lenggries junior teams to play the German Indoor Championship.

"With the U 14 and U 18 we would dare to take part in the qualifying round," says Keiler.

Even if he sees a conflict of interest.

"Actually, we could now concentrate fully on the beach season." The training is completely different: "There has not yet been a final decision." The club has at least developed and adapted a hygiene concept for outdoor training.

The training initially takes place in individual mode.

Keiler: "But better than before, when we couldn't do anything."

The VSG Isar-Loisach volleyball players are in a quandary.

Indoor training is currently not allowed, for beach volleyball on the facility in the Wolfratshauser Isar-Loisach Stadium the temperatures are still a bit cool.

However, there are unmistakable signs that the VSG gentlemen want to splash and bang again as soon as possible.

"Recently, the online link for new beach socks was noticeably shared in our Whatsapp group," reports BCF department head Lukas von Stülpnagel with a smile.

Unlike two or three weeks ago, the weather is currently not very inviting: “It's dark and cold in the evening.” But if the number of infections remains stable at a low level, the syndicate could possibly start indoor training from March 22nd.

"However, I hope to have a few more specific guidelines from the association," says the VSG Mittelblocker.

Taekwondo

A talent for improvisation is also popular in Taekwondo.

“I have a lot of plans”, says Klaus Miethig enthusiastically that things are finally going again.

For a long time, the active members of the Geretsried Taekwondo School were offered online training.

"Now, if the weather is good, it would even be possible for us to go out into the large parking lot in front of our building," said Miethig.

But even with the outdoor exercises, strict attention is paid to maintaining a distance.

"But there are enough grip and technique exercises that you can do with upholstery and punching bags, for example." And because Taekwondo is also about the unity of mind and body, the black belt wearer wants to pay special attention to his children and Young people throw: "The effects of Corona, including sports breaks and homeschooling, have certainly left their mark."

Judo

The judoka are entering uncharted territory.

"We go outside, do running training," says Klaus Hanus, department head at SV Wackersberg-Arzbach.

So far, martial artists have limited themselves to online training, now running in small groups.

“That has little to do with judo, of course.” For him, the main thing is that the children can meet again: “Maintain social contacts.” Always better than in the time before, because: “What does an indoor athlete do when they Halls are too?

Nothing at all, ”says Hanus.

It is extremely important that children do sport, that they keep moving.

“We are on standby when training is possible again in the hall.” But that can take another four weeks if the incidence figures allow it.

Hanus hopes that the athletes will come back and have not said goodbye to judo: "Otherwise we have to start again from scratch."
