The Young Chamber International in Damascus announced the launch of the competition (The Ten Most Distinguished Youth Around the World), which comes within the scope of International Development (TOYB), which is one of the Chamber’s official programs since 1983 and was launched in Syria in 2008.
The Chamber aims from the program competition, according to a statement it has received, which Sanaa received a copy of, to shed light and honor the young actors and influencers in their societies by introducing them and presenting their achievements to encourage them to achieve more achievements and inspire them to be a role model at all levels.
The program includes nominating distinguished youth in ten categories in the fields of (entrepreneurship, economics, political, legal and governmental matters, academic leadership, cultural and personal achievement, ethical and environmental leadership, contributions to human rights, world peace, childhood support, voluntary and humanitarian leadership, technological and scientific development, and medical innovation).
The local president of the Damascus Chamber, Anas al-Kurdi, considered that the competition is one of the most important activities that the chamber holds, and hopes through it that models of distinguished Syrian youth will reach the finals of the international competition.
For his part, the local coordinator of the competition, Nasser Al-Qadi, indicated that the (TWIP) program seeks to embrace the outstanding youth in various fields of life in order to create positive change and leave a sustainable impact in their societies.
All youth from the age group between 18 and 40 years old are entitled to run for the competition, whether they are members of the Young Chamber or from outside it, provided that they are of the Syrian Arab nationality.
