Amot Investments has signed an agreement to purchase half of the rights in a logistics complex near Kibbutz Hefetz Haim, for NIS 71 million.

The rights were acquired by a third party, with the balance of the rights continuing to be held by the kibbutz.

The Marlog was established on a land division of about 31 dunams, its built-up area is about 18,500 square meters and its construction was recently completed.

Its location between Road 6 and Road 40, near the Sorek Interchange and a short distance from the port of Ashdod, makes it particularly attractive.

The property is fully leased to Globus Packaging and International Shipments for a period of 10 years and is expected to yield NIS 8.1 million per year throughout the NOI lease period (Amot's 50% share).

Payment of the consideration and delivery of the holding are expected to take place in the coming weeks.

This transaction is part of Amot's growth strategy in the field of logistics and joins other transactions made by the company in the field, such as the acquisition of Marlog Teva in Shoham (on Road 6), initiated and the establishment of a robotic Marlog in Modiin for the online activity of Shufersal. Unilever in the airport complex, etc. The deal is the first swallow for cooperation with kibbutzim and moshavim in the field.

Shimon Aboudrahm, CEO of Amot: "About 5 years ago, we made a strategic decision to divert investments in the field of commerce from the physical centers to the logistics structures, in light of the intensification of online commerce and the long-term effects of the trend.

This transaction joins many transactions we have made in the fields of industry and logistics and increases the total value of the company's assets in them to NIS 2.6 billion, similar to the value of the company's commercial assets.

As a key player in the field, we will continue to expand our portfolio by initiating and establishing logistics structures tailored to the customer's dimensions and needs or by purchasing them. "

On behalf of Amot, the transaction was handled by attorneys David Amid, Meir Forges, Aran Felshaks and Ron Shiloni from S. Biran, and on behalf of the sellers, attorneys Rami Sidon and Aviya Deutsch handled the transaction.
