Netanyahu has become a tragedy of the right in the last decade.

Under the project to maintain his rule the right folded all the flags and left the arena to the left • Who is right?

• Opinion

"Why do you vote right and get left?" Erez Tadmor asked several years ago in the book entitled This Title.

And that's a question instead.

Since the Palestinian issue has dropped almost completely from the agenda, the agenda of the contemporary right has moved on, and includes issues such as a small and limited government, balance between authorities, individual freedom, free economy, restriction of foreign immigration, construction in Judea and Samaria, and preservation of the Jewish identity of Israel. .

And what has characterized Netanyahu in the last decade?

He fails in all these areas, he is the embodiment of the right-wing leader who carries out the policies of the left.

But that does not stop him from securing a "right-wing" government.

• Dr. Limor Smimian-demanded: Do not change place under the sun ideology "on the road"

It is unfortunate to say this, but the Israeli right does not understand the theory of incentives that should underlie its conservative views.

After all, if you are constantly voting for the same leader even though he is not implementing right-wing policies, why should he change his path?

Netanyahu has abandoned all internal issues, whatever his reasons, in order to focus on the only issue that interests him: the foreign policy in which he tends to excel.

But with all due respect to foreign relations, the right-wing struggles of the right are in the internal arena in the face of the old oligarchies that control the country and prevent any application of national policy: workers' committees, the judiciary and the media.

"Mr. Economy" conducts the economic policy of the Banana Republic

Netanyahu stubbornly refused to confront them.

"Mr. Economy" is currently pursuing a populist socialist policy that is better suited to the Republic of South American Bananas.

Instead of taking advantage of the severe economic crisis in our history to carry out systemic reforms and painful cuts, as he did with great success in 2003, Netanyahu turned the Likud into a "house of committees", according to Minister Miri Regev.

There is no need to overstate the legal system.

For 12 years the prime minister has blocked any attempt to bring about a change in the power relations between the authorities.

And even boasted about it in the media.

It was only when the justice system dealt with him personally that Netanyahu began to change direction, and yet - he is only interested in matters related to his trial.

He does not intend to pass any thorough reform, but only to evade the charges.

There is no subject that illustrates this more than his relationship to the media.

Netanyahu is obsessed with the media but has done nothing to open the market to competition and allow the establishment of new television channels or private radio stations.

Israel is the only Western country without a national private radio station.

But Netanyahu is not interested in real right-wing free media.

In fact, he prefers left-wing media that haunts him pathologically that allows him to unite the ranks on the right, or fully mobilized media for him in the style of Gali Yisrael or Channel 20.

And this is the tragedy of the Israeli right.

All the polls and studies show that there is a very large majority on the right in Israel, but the "Netanyahu bloc" barely scratches the 60 seats.

Part of the Israeli right decided to sacrifice everything in favor of Netanyahu remaining in his chair.

In their eyes, this is more important than advancing the goals of the right, claiming that it is either Netanyahu or the left.

More and more right-wingers are rejecting this formula and want change.

The prospect of finally advancing right-wing policies passes through the replacement of Netanyahu by a new right-wing leader.

There is no other choice
