Rich artistic experiences embodied by the sculptor, Munther Mustafa, with his artistic works since childhood, translating through his inner world and feelings and transforming them in his way into unique tangible sculptures in order to spread art as a human message that inspires hope, generosity and pleasure in the souls of people.

Mustafa mentioned in an interview with Sana Al-Thaqafyeh that the art of sculpture has been taught by nature since childhood, when he used to choose a stone and hold it with both hands, so he began to sculpt through various forms, starting from his subconscious in choosing the shape, using a simple tool, namely the knife, bypassing his modest artistic workshop and simple tools, but he presented the most beautiful and wonderful Artifacts.

Mustafa, who embodied a realistic and expressive character in his sculptures in addition to the abstract, explains that he tends to the realistic character because it reflects his relationship with man, nature and the environment in which he lives, but later tended to merge between two characteristics by depicting the feelings and mysteries of the human being in the form of a sculpture that only lacks a tongue and a soul to articulate.

Mustafa says, "The artist should learn about the history of art, beauty and mythology, to be a general idea with his imagination, given that the character of imagination goes back to myths and its history has existed since ancient times."

Mustafa believes that the art of sculpture represents a message to revive the heritage, especially since this art has a long presence in the Syrian civilizations, as testimony to that of the unique monuments that were made by the son of this land.

On the female domination of most of his sculptures, Mustafa explains that he considers this an appreciation of women for their beauty, generosity and tenderness, which is a symbol of the continuation of life, considering that the presence of the female is one of the projects of any artist, sculptor or poet.

Regarding the sculpture, "the jewel," Mustafa pointed out that it is one of his works that are dear to his heart and is not inspired by any other work of art, as it represents a young, arrogant woman who is proud of her beauty.

Mustafa, who tends to carve decorative objects and hosts carved from the rocks because of his love for occasions of joy and success, emphasizes the important role of the artist not only in times of peace, security and prosperity, but in light of the difficult conditions that Syria is going through with its human capital, wealth, capabilities and distinctive competencies in order to send a message to the world. Love through our artwork reflects the image of this ancient country.

And about his use of white and yellow limestone in his sculpting works, he explains that this is due to their availability in his rural environment, in addition to the shiny onyx stone, as he prefers this type of stone in carving.

Mustafa, who also practices painting because he sees him as no less than sculpture, has a thousand novels bearing the title of Prince Majed, but he was unable to publish them due to circumstances. He also composed many poems and plays several musical instruments such as the lute, the flute and the rababa, in addition to his talent for making nayat.

In the conclusion of his speech, Mustafa calls on the Fine Artists Union to provide facilities for admission to it and to provide more support to artists, especially with regard to marketing their artworks, as it is a source of continuity of their work and a source of their livelihood.

It is noteworthy that the artist, Munther Mustafa, participated in several individual and joint exhibitions inside the country, in addition to his participation in the opening of the Damascus International Fair, and his works were acquired in a number of Arab and foreign countries, and he was honored at the fourteenth Mother of the Two Spring Festival in 2014.
