A 60-year-old man played an anti-amendment song on the streets of Yuen Long in May last year. He was charged by the police for playing a musical instrument without a permit.

The case was originally scheduled for trial today (9th). The prosecution said that no more evidence will be filed against the subpoenas, and the magistrate revoked the relevant subpoenas.

Defendant Li Jiexin (62 years old), in May last year, played an anti-revision song on the streets of Yuen Long on the erhu. He was charged by the police and charged with playing a musical instrument without a permit.

The case was originally scheduled to be tried in Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts today. The prosecution stated in court that it would not bring evidence against the summons. Without explaining the reason, the magistrate revoked the summons.

The summons alleges that the defendant played the erhu under the escalator at Exit G of Yuen Long MTR Station on the morning of May 29 last year without legal authority or explanation, and without a permit issued by the Commissioner of Police.

The defendant stated earlier that pulling the erhu belongs to his right to participate in cultural activities, and questioned that the ticket charge was a suppression of his performance of the song, and he has prepared a defense.
