A source in the Russian defense industry announced that the Navy will receive before the end of this year the first nuclear-powered submarine of the "Yassin M" model from the project "885M".

"The Novosibirsk nuclear submarine will be delivered to the Russian fleet in the last quarter of this year, after completing the manufacturer's maritime tests and the state's experiences, which include launching" Onyx "and" Caliber BL "missiles, the source said.

Later this year, the Russian shipyard Sevmash, which is part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, is preparing to deliver a Kazan submarine of Project 885M to the Russian Navy. There are six more submarines from this project in various stages of completion in the shipyard.

The submarines of the "885M" will be armed with "Caliber BL" or "Onyx" missiles, and will later be armed with the "Tserkon" / supersonic missiles as the main weapons.
