ManpowerGroup, a multinational human resources organization, today (16th) released the second quarter employment outlook survey report in Hong Kong. Among the 136 employers interviewed, about 24% said they would reduce their manpower.

The survey interviewed 136 employers, 22% of employers said they intend to hire more staff in the coming quarter, 24% of employers said they would reduce their staff, and 54% said it remained unchanged. The seasonally adjusted employment outlook index for three consecutive quarters was -2%.

As for the six industries, employers in three industries have low hiring intentions, namely wholesale and retail (-4%), service industry (-2%), and procurement and construction industry (-1%). Net employment outlook The index all recorded negative numbers, with wholesale and retail the worst.
