A few months ago an older woman came into my life, or rather: drove in, at full throttle.
When I think of her, I always get a pulse straight away, even now.
I would like to call her Frau Kaiser here.
At the moment you think a lot and with concern about your elderly people - because they belong to a risk group that you want to protect from Corona.
But with Frau Kaiser there is another risk that concerns me.
Ms. Kaiser is 89 years old, vaccination group 1, and she drives a car.
To be precise: a three-seater BMW.
You don't have to be an Auto Bild reader to know that a three-seater BMW is a pretty sporty car.
Sporty also goes well with Ms. Kaiser's driving style, at least on that day: At a gas station, she got into her car like a tank and kicked through.
Unfortunately our car got in the way.
My son was sitting in the back of the child seat, my husband was standing at the open driver's door, which no longer hung properly on its hinges after Frau Kaiser's arrival.
She mixed up the gas and the brakes and not only rammed our car, but also my husband by a hair's breadth.
I was on a business trip and then got a call.
