Freising

- Even in lockdown and despite contact restrictions, art and culture should remain tangible in Freising: The “Culture in front of the window” initiative aims to enable cultural performances on one's own front door or on the balcony.

The project was initiated at the end of March 2020 by the artists Marc Vogel and Katja Lachmann, who initially won over in the greater Nuremberg area and later also in southern municipalities and districts.

Private individuals, companies or retirement homes can book artists

Local artists meet their audience on the website www.kultur-vor-dem-fenster.de.

From now on, cultural workers from Freising can also present short programs for suitable performances in front of the window.

The public - private individuals as well as companies or retirement homes - can find out about the offers online and book them.

Place and time as well as artist fees are agreed directly between the partners.

It is important that the booked performance takes place on private property and in a private setting.

All those involved adhere to the infection control measures.

The cultural office of the city of Freising hopes that the establishment of “culture in front of the window” in Freising will support those cultural workers who are particularly suffering from the closure of the venues.

Because every appearance directly supports the local art and culture scene and brings the audience and artists together again.

The city of Freising assumes the running costs for the operation of the database;

there are no further agency fees.
