Bagneux: the Val-de-Marne police officer is seriously injured

Six young men were arrested on Tuesday evening for their alleged participation in the assault, in the city of Abbé-Grégoire.


The police officer attacked Tuesday evening, in Bagneux, received violent blows, especially in the face.

His nose is broken, he suffers from a fracture of the orbital floor (the bone that supports the eye) and numerous bruises.

Hospitalized Tuesday, in the early evening, this police officer from the Val-de-Marne anti-crime squad must undergo surgery on Wednesday.

Without it being yet possible to determine who struck what blow, six suspects were nevertheless arrested Tuesday evening for their participation in the attack.

All are young inhabitants of the city of Abbé-Grégoire, in Bagneux, where the policeman was beaten.

One of them is 17 years old, the other five between 18 and 23 years old.

They are being questioned in police custody.

A second policeman fired several shots

Before being taken to task in the heart of the city of Abbé-Grégoire, the anti-crime brigade (bac) was preparing to control two young people perched on the same scooter, on the edge of Bagneux and Val-de-Marne.

Whoever was driving fled with the two-wheeler, only to be arrested a little later.

The second ran towards Bagneux, where the ferry followed him.

The police then arrived in the city, where about twenty people were obviously ready to fight with iron bars.

Shortly after the arrival of the bac 94, they were "forty" according to a judicial source.

This is where the situation escalated.

The policeman was beaten.

His colleague fired several shots in the air to free the victim from his attackers and disperse the group.
