The through-road of Kranzberg is being redeveloped.
Citizens had the opportunity to find out more on site on Tuesday.
It was very heated.
Kranzberg - It was a difficult birth: While the Freising district published the tender for the work on the through-road of Kranzberg on Wednesday, the topic was heatedly discussed the evening before in the Kranzberg municipal council before majority decisions were made on the individual areas.
Before that, there was a highly explosive on-site visit with around 50 residents.
In the municipal council, some representatives were on the verge of an emergency stop because of the community's share of the costs.
the initial situation
This year the district road leading through Kranzberg is to be renewed.
The road is in poor condition.
For this measure there was already a meeting with the residents and some discussions about the sidewalks.
Paths from 1.80 meters wide are eligible, but this is not always possible in Kranzberg.
In the long discussion, the council had rejected a continuous sidewalk on one side of the street with a length of 1.80 meters.
The geography
From the Eberspoint junction to the end of the village on Kranzberger See, it goes steeply downhill with an average of five to six percent incline.
A special feature of the road is the inclined slope of 15 centimeters.
The cross slope
This road, which slopes down to one side, means that some properties have water in the basement when it rains heavily.
What was new for the mayor and the municipal council was the information at the on-site visit that the garage of one of the residents regularly floods up in the town center.
At the on-site meeting and in the local council, it was discussed whether the street should get a roof profile after all.
Here the middle of the street would be the highest point with a slope on both sides.
However, the planners warned of a change in altitude.
With 13 private entrances you would have serious problems with a ten to 20 centimeter difference in height and four road junctions would come to a twelve to 23 centimeter difference.
In addition to 130,000 euros in additional costs, the implementation would be technically very difficult.
Therefore the profile remains as before.
The drainage
In the coming weeks until the start of construction, efficient street drainage is to be ensured again in order to eliminate the problems of the residents.
Concern was raised several times in the local council that the road would have to be reopened after a year because of the water in the cellars.
“We don't have the money for such a bourgeois prank,” warned Sonja Kieslinger.
Petra Horneber added that the problem of full cellars is "sealed for the next 50 years" without a definitive problem solution.
Mayor Hermann Hammerl assured that there would be no construction this year without a secure drainage solution.
The fringes
In some areas there is only a few centimeters of space between the roadway and retaining walls.
The demarcation by road marking is not allowed, so a curb is required and these small areas, which are not even sufficient for an emergency walkway, have to be paid for by the municipality.
The sidewalks
The local council decided on concrete paving.
In the vote on the color, heather brown got the majority with eight votes, seven council members voted for gray.
The fiberglass pipes
In addition to the planned 100,000 euros, there are 70,000 euros in additional costs.
However, the local council decided to put the tubes for the fast internet under the new street.

The costs
The district is building the road and the municipality has to take over the 1,800 square meters of sidewalk.
Around one million of the total cost of 1.7 million euros is eligible.
Local councilor Florian Vierthaler was furious about the 700,000 euros: “The district determines the road renewal and we pay half of it.
The sidewalk costs 370 euros per square meter, the street 100 euros per square meter.
That cannot be explained to me. "
Kisslinger's demand
“You're doing everything wrong!” Says Georg Kißlinger from Kranzberg.
As a former employee in a civil engineering department, he dealt intensively with the topic and came to the conclusion that a roof profile would bring "an improvement in the quality of life for the citizens".
He accuses the planners of simply continuing to plan without seriously investigating a change in the profile of the road.
At the on-site meeting, Kißlinger spoke of anger against engineer Pritscher: “Take care of Kranzberg!” Kißlinger had written a four-page document entitled “Construction site of the century for the village of Kranzberg”.
In it he refers to many factors such as fine dust on the road, vehicles that are getting heavier and heavier, more traffic and faster driving.
His conclusion: “The new road should be a balancing road.” However, the municipal council is sticking to the previous inclination after the engineer warned of massive problems with the roof profile at several entrances.
