Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, known as Lula, spoke publicly for the first time since Brazil's Supreme Court overturned his convictions on Monday.
Lula da Silva praised health workers, recognized those who lost their lives due to COVID-19 and criticized President Bolsonaro's handling of the pandemic.
"I was confident of my innocence and that day came," said the former president.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday overturned his convictions for Lava Jato.
The measure rehabilitates the political rights of the former president.
