The city has been renovating and building new day-care centers for many years.

This year it will continue - at two construction sites: A crib is being built on Buchenauer Platz.

And the Gnadenkirche kindergarten is being renovated and will also have an extension for the city's youngest citizens.

Fürstenfeldbruck - In the Cerveteristraße and Am Hochfeld new daycare centers have only been built and inaugurated.

The north kindergarten is being rebuilt - by an external company.

Another kindergarten group is also necessary in Aich or Puch.

Where is still being discussed.

However, it will be the last for the time being to meet the need for childcare places in the city area.

There are currently two construction sites in the city.

Nativity scene at Buchenauer Platz

At the point where the new “Buchenauer Zwerge” crèche is being built, there used to be the “Villa Kunterbunt” kindergarten.

This has moved to Senserbergstrasse.

The old house has since disappeared.

The new crib for three groups of twelve boys and girls will be built in wood.

The little ones can play, learn, eat and sleep on two floors.

A heat pump with heat absorber and ice storage is used for climate protection.

A photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof.

The big old linden tree in the garden area can remain.

There are also new play equipment that is tailored to the needs of the little ones.

The crib costs just under three million euros.

It should be ready in time for the beginning of the new kindergarten year in September.

Then the crèche children can move from the container.

Diakonie is responsible for the sponsorship.

Kindergarten Gnadenkirche

The girls and boys from the Protestant kindergarten Gnadenkirche also have to move from the end of March to the beginning of April.

“There is a spirit of optimism,” says director Olga Marx.

The transitional quarters are set up by the children and educators in the parish rooms of the Gnadenkirche.

With 71 children - when Corona allows regular childcare again - it will be a bit tight by the summer holidays.

But after the summer holidays, they only take in up to 54 girls and boys.

The daycare center has the community rooms to itself - the community work takes place in the church.

The three-group kindergarten is being completely renovated, and the kitchen is also being redone.

In the garden there is an extension for two nativity groups.

“It will be a real children's home,” says Olga Marx.

This makes the garden a little smaller.

“We mourn it a bit,” says the director.

But there is still enough space so that the boys and girls can let off steam to their hearts' content.

The renovation and crib construction cost around five million euros.

However, the parish does not have to bear the entire part, the project is funded by the city with around three million euros and the Protestant regional church.

The move still seems far away.

The children know that it will start soon.

But that only becomes really clear when you are allowed to pack some toys in boxes.

Otherwise, they are left out when moving and can then settle in to the new rooms.

And there are plenty of playgrounds in the area for trips outside.

Until the end of August 2022, everyone will be able to observe what is happening in the kindergarten next door at close range.

Found food for the curiosity of the little ones.

But the teachers will also keep a close eye on how things are going on the construction site.

"We are excited and looking forward to it," says Olga Marx.

The series

In Fürstenfeldbruck there are some major construction projects pending.

Some are still in preparation, others have already started implementation.

What will happen this year is highlighted in the series “Bruck's large building projects” in loose succession.
