Dachau does it, Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen does it, Munich Land does it: In some districts in the region, the first general practitioner practices have started to vaccinate against the corona virus - as part of a trial operation.
There are no such pilot practices in the Ebersberg district.
Not yet.
District of Ebersberg
- On request, the district office reports: "The vaccination center Ebersberg was and is able to vaccinate all vaccination doses delivered in the vaccination center or on the move," writes a spokesman for the authorities.
“It was therefore not necessary to set up pilot practices at short notice.” Nevertheless, there are plans to be able to rely on the support of general practitioners if necessary.
According to the editorial team, some of them are already offering the free corona rapid tests promised by the state government - those willing to test can best find out by phone whether their practice is among them.
Coordinator: Doctors are ready to be vaccinated
The medical coordinator in the district, the Ebersberg internist Marc Block, would like to see his colleagues involved in the vaccination process as quickly as possible.
“The interest is still there,” Block told EZ on Wednesday on the phone.
A little more than 30 of his colleagues have agreed to take vaccinations.
Big bureaucratic hurdles stand in the way
In contrast, there are bureaucratic hurdles: Because every vaccination has to be meticulously processed in the registration portal of the state government called BayImco, an employee of the vaccination center has to do this on site in the pilot practice.
Block finds this administrative burden "annoying," which urgently needs to be reduced.
Then the way would be free to use the vaccination capacities of his colleagues sensibly.
Furthermore, the first priority is vaccinated
People from the first priority, those over 80 and from the medical and nursing professions, will initially continue to be vaccinated - whether in the vaccination center or soon in possible pilot practices.
As expected, that will last until the end of March, says vaccination center boss Liam Klages.
Although his house is currently giving first priority to 500 vaccine doses a day, also thanks to the reclassification of the AstraZeneca vaccine;
A total of 2500 to 3000 vaccine doses would arrive in the district per week.
But the approximately 12,000 first vaccinations administered so far did not yet cover the entire group.
Incidentally, the district of Ebersberg is sticking to the planned branch of the vaccination center in Poing from the beginning of April.
The aim is to offer the citizens the widest possible range of vaccinations, and the contract has long been awarded and the plans are well advanced.
This was confirmed by a spokesman for the district office.
As of Wednesday, the requirements of the Ministry of Health, which were changed at short notice on Tuesday, did not change anything.
