Despite his extensive resume, it can be said that Roberto Daniel Martínez (72) kept a low profile.
It was a gunshot to the face that put his name on the news.
The attack occurred this Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. in Belgrano and caused surprise, in an area that is not characterized by being the scene of violent events.
Martínez was approached when he was parking his white BMW 440i Cabrio in the garage of his house in Arribeños at 1400. The bullet went through both Martinez's cheeks, who was taken to the Pirovano Hospital.
Then he was referred to the La Trinidad sanatorium, where this Wednesday he is recovering out of danger, according to sources from the Buenos Aires government health area.
Although the first hypothesis of the investigators was that of an alleged homicide attempt for some personal matter, since it was thought that the shooter went directly to kill, in the last hours the detectives of the 13A police station of the City Police managed to
a video that recorded the sequence head-on and changed the focus of the investigation.
In the search of that security camera in the victim's own building, on Calle Arribeños at 1400, it is observed that Martínez arrived at the access ramp to the garage with his BMW at 3:28 p.m. and stopped to activate the closing of the sliding roof. .

At that moment, and in an action that lasts seven seconds, an armed criminal surprised Martínez from the driver's side and fired at him, after which a brief struggle was observed and the shooter escaped after firing a shot.

and followed him to his house," said a police source.
The incident had a direct witness who assured that the shooter arrived and fled on a motorcycle driven by another man, while the Scientific Police worked on Martínez's vehicle in search of traces and evidence. Other sources indicated that another witness whose account was by being formally incorporated into the cause, he heard that the shooter told Martínez
"give me the watch"
, before the shot.
The agents from the 13A police station also seized a .38 caliber revolver that the victim was carrying at the time of the incident but did not use it, and a briefcase with documentation.
Arribeños, at 1400, in Belgrano, where the City Police are looking for clues to find the attacker of a lawyer.
Perhaps Martínez does know who it was that shot him, or who sent him.

The career of this lawyer specialized in labor law dates back to 1971, when he graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and began in his study located on the eighth floor of Peru 345, where he still works.

Perhaps the most resounding was that of Chief of the Advisory Cabinet of the Provincial Institute of Lotteries and Casinos of the Province of Buenos Aires between 2007 and 2009, according to his own curriculum.
At that time, Martínez was also a defense attorney for the organism's auditor, Luis Alberto Peluso.
Then the official was charged in a criminal case for "abuse of authority, breach of the duties of a public official, negotiations incompatible with the public function, illegal exactions and presumed bribery."
For 34 years, this lawyer also served as general attorney of the Railroad Union from 1974 to 2007.
His experience in the public sector began when he was very young, when he was 23 years old and Juan Domingo Perón ruled the country.
Between 1972 and 1975, he was attorney-in-fact for the province of Buenos Aires, dependent on the General Revenue Directorate.
In 1975 he became an advisor to the Ministry of Justice of the Nation.

In his professional summary, Martínez highlights that he was a drafting member of the draft regulation and modification of the Labor Contract Law between 1974 and 1975.
With the 1976 military coup and the dictatorship, the lawyer left the public service and worked as an advisor to the Painting and Related and Loading and Unloading unions until 1989 and 1990, respectively.
However, he maintained his position as professor of the subjects Social Law and Labor Law, at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires between 1975 and 1987. He became head of practical work.
With the return of democracy, between 1983 and 1987 he served as advisor to the Justicialista bloc in the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation.
He also tells in his CV that he was "advisor to the Association of Cleaning Companies (ADEL) (2003 - 2007)";
