- The employees of IG Metall have been on strike across Bavaria for more wages for days.
In the collective bargaining conflict in the metal and electronics industry, the parties to the collective bargaining agreement agreed a “pause for reflection” at the end of February after four rounds of negotiations without rapprochement.
There is not yet a new negotiation date.
IG Metall therefore called for the largest warning strike day in Bavaria on Thursday.
The regional focus is Nuremberg *, where at 12 noon, metal workers in 28 companies are supposed to finish their work two hours earlier.

IG Metall Südwest has already emphasized that the union could continue the warning strikes for weeks.

The union demands four percent more wages for the nationwide 3.8 million employees - where things are going badly in a company, in the form of a four-day week with wage compensation.
They are also fighting for the permanent takeover of the apprentices and the inclusion of dual students in the collective agreement.
Employers are not offering wage increases until next year after a zero round this year and are demanding automatic deviations from the wage level for weaker companies, the report continues.
