In an XXL campaign, the staff of daycare centers and primary schools are vaccinated at the weekend.

But the vaccine is running out again.

The frustration grows.

  • Primary school teachers and daycare staff will be vaccinated from Friday, March 12th.

  • However, according to the BRK boss, the district will run out of vaccine at the beginning of next week.

  • Now, of all times, when more than 50 doctors are ready to provide vaccination support.

Freising

- today huh, tomorrow hott.

The constant tug-of-war over vaccination regulations in the corona pandemic is increasingly causing trouble for local medical staff.

"I have been very cautious about criticism so far," said Albert Söhl, head of the BRK district association Freising, the FT.

“But the fact that we never have planning security is brutally exhausting for us.

Söhl is particularly bothered by the fact that politicians apparently still do not have vaccine shortages under control.

“As before, we are informed at short notice that deliveries that we expect will not arrive in the quantities ordered,” reported Söhl.

He understands that the worldwide and Germany-wide production and transport of vaccines is associated with “insane logistics”.

“But we have to be able to plan because we invite people to a vaccination appointment.

So it's really bad if we don't get the amount of vaccine ordered. "

Around 2400 people will also be vaccinated at the weekend

At the weekend, parallel to normal operations at the vaccination center, there is a large-scale campaign in the Gute Änger secondary school, during which the primary schools and day-care centers in the district are vaccinated - around 2,400 people in total.

"We have collected enough vaccine for this," says Söhl.

“But on Monday, Tuesday at the latest, we will be empty.” The BRK boss has already sent SOS.

At the moment, however, he can only hope that at least partial quantities of orders that have already been ordered will arrive earlier than indicated.

The willingness of the doctors to carry out corona vaccinations in their own practices in addition to the vaccination center is great in the district.

"We have received more than 50 practices that can start safely by April 1st at the latest.

That's about 80 percent, ”said medical spokesman Georg Miedl.

"In addition, a team of company doctors and specialists have offered themselves."

District Administrator Helmut Petz takes note of this "with great relief".

"With vaccinations in the doctor's office, the vaccination rate can be increased many times over," he emphasized in a letter.

That's why Petz would like doctors to join in as early as March if possible.

Corresponding training courses, which also dealt with the data acquisition of the vaccinated persons, have already taken place.

Medical spokesman with a clear message to politicians

The big problem: If the vaccination center hardly has enough vaccine available, how should family doctors be supplied with AstraZeneca and Co.?

For this reason, Söhl is convinced that politicians have postponed the starting shot for general practitioners from the beginning to mid-April.

"That has nothing to do with the fact that we couldn't get started earlier."

Miedl confirms this. "From the point of view of the medical profession, we could start with the vaccinations immediately, since the legal requirements have actually been clarified," he says.

"The biggest brake is the reduced amount of vaccines." His clear message to politicians: "The governments at the federal and state level should not wrestle about a possible start date, but rather put all their efforts into the organization of the production and distribution of vaccines."

Furthermore, all citizens in the Freising district who want to be vaccinated should register for the corona vaccination.

The district office explains how appointments are made.

Corona has also put a severe damper on the growth region of Munich.

Nevertheless, the experts of the planning association are optimistic about the future.

Perspective in the pandemic: Freising residents can now book local cultural workers on a new website - for private appearances in front of the window.
