, in response to the
retreat
on their rights in some EU countries, in particular in Poland and Hungary.

increase in discriminatory attacks
against LGBTI people in Poland
, they also disapprove of the arrests of activists and the attacks and bans on Pride marches.
The text also specifies that the Commission should use all instruments, including infringement procedures, Article 7 of the EU Treaty, as well as the recently adopted regulation on the protection of the EU budget and respect for the rule of law, to order to remedy the violations of the fundamental rights of LGBTIQs.
The
deterioration of the situation in Hungary
is also mentioned in the resolution of the
Eurochamber
.
"The vote of the European Parliament on the resolution for a 'Europe area of freedom for LGBTIQs' sends
a strong signal
".
