The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, announced that the Counter-Terrorism Service had managed to thwart two terrorist plots in Anbar and Kirkuk provinces.
Rasoul said in a statement reported by Alsumaria News that “two terrorists were arrested in a tight ambush in the Karma area who were planning to plant explosive devices inside a popular market in the Fallujah district in Anbar,” pointing out that the terrorists were arrested during the process of receiving and delivering explosive devices, hours before Carry out the operation.
Rasul indicated that in the second operation, an ISIS terrorist was arrested in Kirkuk governorate. He was planning to plant an explosive device on a road, pointing out that during the two operations, weapons and explosives were seized in the terrorists ’possession.
