Amman - Sana
The Jordanian government decided to increase the night curfew hours and close public parks, nightclubs and sports centers due to the high number of infections with the Coronavirus.
Jordanian media quoted government spokesman Sakhr Dudin as saying in a press conference that "it has been decided to extend the hours of the night curfew to from seven in the evening until six in the morning instead of ten at night until six in the morning, as of next Saturday."
Dudin pointed out that the restaurants on duty are allowed to operate with delivery service after seven in the evening.
For his part, Jordanian Minister of Health, Nazir Obeidat, confirmed that the prevalence of the new "British" strain of Corona virus amounted to more than 70 percent compared to the original strain.
For weeks, Jordan has witnessed a significant increase in the number of injuries, and today it recorded 63 deaths and 8,300 new injuries, bringing the total number of cases to 457,151 and deaths to 5,169 cases.
