Has a real government of national unity just seen the light of day in Libya?
After more than six years of divisions, the deputies validated, on Wednesday, the cabinet proposed by Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, prime minister chosen, on February 5, during the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (FDPL) organized by the UN.
The two rival governments in place since 2014 in the east and west of the country immediately announced their desire to return power.

The mission of this new cabinet is indeed particularly heavy for a mandate of only nine months: the Prime Minister reiterated, after the vote on Wednesday, his desire to reunify the institutions, to develop the regions equitably, to improve the standard of living. of his fellow citizens and to organize general elections on December 24.
But this government “is
not based on a political coalition or a common vision.
In the end, the only thing that unites these ministers is the desire to share resources.
