Ye Xiulan said that the two men and women and taxi drivers were arrested for "drug trafficking". They were between the ages of 26 and 61. The arrested persons reported unemployed, transport workers and taxi drivers.

Initially, it is believed that the arrested person has no triad background. The two men and women are being detained for investigation. The taxi driver has been released on bail pending investigation. The investigation of the case is still ongoing.

Ye pointed out that the police successfully blocked a batch of drugs from flowing into the local market in this operation.

Drug trafficking is a serious crime. Once convicted, the maximum penalty is a fine of 5 million yuan and life imprisonment.
