The end of a long suspense?
After months of negotiations, EELV MEP Karima Delli is on track to win the head of a left-to-regional union list in Hauts-de-France next June.
"We are very close to the agreement, we have accepted the idea of not being head of the list"
, confirmed Olivier Faure, this Thursday morning on BFMTV.
The first secretary of the Socialist Party assured that this list would represent
"all the left"
, with
"the rebels, the Communists, the Greens",
and that it could be embodied
"by an environmentalist, Karima Delli"
.

"The agreement is not yet finalized but it should be in the week"

The PS wants to multiply the union lists in several regions

Finally, it was Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who vetoed it.
According to France Bleu Nord, the LFI candidate would have refused to add a potential competitor to the presidential election.
Fabien Roussel dreams of embarking on an independent candidacy for the Élysée in 2022, without an agreement with La France Insoumise, unlike 2012 and 2017.
This turnaround is therefore a victory for the Greens.
"We are the only ones able to make the junction between all the forces of the left"
