Elements of the Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Directorate in Lattakia today seized three warehouses containing more than 5 tons of subsidized cement intended for sale on the black market illegally.

The Director of Internal Trade in Lattakia, Samer Al-Sousi, confirmed in a statement to SANA's representative that the seized quantities were confiscated and handed over to Al-Omran warehouses, and the seizure was referred to the competent court in origin, indicating that the seized quantity was found in three warehouses manufactured in the two cement companies of Hama and Tartous.

In the city of Homs, the Directorate of Health Affairs in Homs City Council has organized, during the past two days, a group of restrictions against a number of activities for not wearing a mask and work clothes in food stores spread throughout the city, neglecting hygiene, not cutting a health card, poor storage of foodstuffs and selling various meats.

The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Homs today also organized a seizure against the owner of a fuel station to illegally dispose of diesel and gasoline and possess and display unknown materials for sale in one of the stores in Al-Khader neighborhood, Kafra and Al-Suwairi, and the town of Hassia and Karam Al-Shami.

In addition, a violation was detected in one of the bakeries by producing and packing food bread with a deficient weight, as well as violations related to prices, invoices and data, and controlling samples to ensure their conformity with the Syrian standard specifications, and all necessary legal measures were duly taken.

According to Engineer Rami Al-Youssef, Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Homs, the seizures included the possession and display of sale of expired materials and materials of unknown origin, the production and packing of supply bread of less weight, possession and transportation of flour intended for the supply bakeries for use in the manufacture of pastries and tourist bread, within a truck car and possession of 12 kilograms of soft yeast intended for bakeries. Ration.

Al-Youssef pointed out that the violations also included soaking the cleaned chicken with water within a store in the construction neighborhood, trading in oil derivatives supported by the state with the aim of making a material profit, trading in subsidized diesel and possessing it in other than the place designated for it, in addition to controlling violations related to prices, bills and data, refraining from selling, and seizing a sample for verification. From the extent of its conformity with the Syrian standard specifications, confirming that the necessary legal measures have been duly taken against the violators.
