The Union is losing favor with the electorate.

This is what the next survey shows.

But the Greens also fall this week.

A preference for chancellor is clear.

Berlin - The trend is pointing downwards.

What are meant are the Union's survey values.

According to the RTL / ntv “trend barometer”, the CDU * and CSU * have lost another percentage point compared to the previous week.

The parties together get 33 percent of the votes of the respondents.

This roughly corresponds to the result of the Union in the last federal election in 2017, where it ended up with 32.9 percent of the vote.

This has been the worst value since March 2020, when the Corona crisis really started.

And it is not only in this survey by the market and opinion research institute Forsa that it looks worse, according to Kantar, the Union values are also falling.

An INSA survey from March 8th sees the Union as only 30 percent *.

Obvious, possible background to the decline in the Union numbers are the mask affair and the Corona debacle * around vaccination and testing.

Just before the two state elections on Sunday in Rhineland-Palatinate * and Baden-Württemberg *, in which the CDU wants to replace the current Prime Minister, the party is weakening in nationwide polls.

Survey before the federal election: Union and Greens lose easily, FDP and AfD gain slightly

This week, however, the Greens also lose a percentage point in this snapshot.

According to Forsa, the possible coalition partner of the Union after the federal election is currently 18 percent.

Compared to the last federal election, it was still a big increase: At that time the Greens were only able to get 8.9 percent of the vote.

The beneficiaries of the first week of March are the FDP * and AfD, who each gain one point.

The Liberals land at 8 percent (2017: 10.7 percent).

The AfD * rises to 10 percent (2017: 12.6 percent).

Nothing will change for the time being for the SPD and the left: The Social Democrats, who have already presented their election campaign program, remain at 16 percent (2017: 20.5 percent), the left at 8 percent (2017: 9.2 percent).

7 percent would still choose another party, compared to 5.2 percent four years ago.

Survey on trust in the political competence of the parties: Here too the Union is losing

Corona remains the dominant topic in politics.

It is correspondingly interesting to look at current figures on trust in the political competence of the parties.

At the Union, this value is currently falling - compared to the previous week, according to Forsa, by five percentage points to 30 percent.

That is a whopping ten percentage points less than at the beginning of January.

But part of the overall picture is that only 6 percent of people each trust the SPD and the Greens * to best cope with the problems in Germany.

8 percent consider one of the other parties to be competent, but 50 percent do not approve of any party having this political competence.

And then there is the question of the future Chancellor after Angela Merkel * (CDU): If a direct election by the Germans were possible, 37 percent would choose Markus Söder (CSU) (plus 1 percentage point).

Green leader Robert Habeck, on the other hand, loses one percentage point and ends up at 18 percent.

Olaf Scholz from the SPD * remains unchanged at 15 percent.

In the second possible constellation, if Armin Laschet competes for the Union, the CDU leader would come unchanged to 22 percent, Habeck to 21 percent (minus 1 percentage point) and Scholz to 20 percent (plus 2 percentage points) - a very close race .

Survey by the market and opinion research institute Forsa on behalf of Mediengruppe RTL

The data were collected from March 2 to 8, and the researchers interviewed 2510 people.

The statistical margin of error is plus / minus 2.5 percentage points - this is especially important when making tight decisions.
