At around 8 am today (11th), the police received a report from MTR staff that a suspicious black box was found on the platform of Hung Hom Station.
It is understood that the police seized a black cardboard box at the scene after the incident, which was initially believed to be rubbish left by someone. It is initially believed that the incident was not suspicious.
A MTR spokesperson pointed out that the East Rail Line's train service was once blocked due to the discovery of suspicious items on platform 4 of Hung Hom Station.
By 8:57 in the morning, the MTR stated that the incident had been handled.
The train service gradually returned to normal.
At 8:45 in the morning, the MTR stated that due to suspicious objects found on platform 4 of Hung Hom Station, the train service of the East Rail Line was blocked. The travel time between Hung Hom Station and Sheung Shui Station is expected to take an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
Hung Hom Station to Mong Kok East Station runs every 10 minutes, and Mong Kok East Station to Sheung Shui Station runs every 6 minutes.
