The Syrian and Russian coordinating bodies for the return of the displaced Syrians confirmed that the United States continues to strangle the Syrian people economically by using various methods of economic and political pressure on international bodies and organizations to close their eyes to the dangerous consequences of the sanctions imposed on Syria.

The two bodies said in a statement today that the United States and its allies continue by all means and means to obstruct the stability of the situation in Syria, and all American statements about their will to provide aid to the Syrian people are "incorrect and these illegal sanctions against Syria completely suffocate its economy."

The statement pointed out that Washington and its allies "are exercising various methods of economic and political pressure on many international bodies and organizations in order to close their eyes to the dangerous consequences of the sanctions imposed on Syria and the breach of its sovereignty, which only leads to an increase in the crisis of the displaced and their numbers."

The two bodies renewed their affirmation that “the Syrian state continues to make great efforts to secure suitable and appropriate conditions for the return of the displaced, the rapid social adaptation of the returnees, and create job opportunities for them in the country despite the difficult economic situation. It also pays special attention to taking measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, fight terrorism and ward off its danger from safe areas and return Building industrial and agricultural facilities and infrastructure.

Regarding the situation of the refugee camps under the control of the American occupation forces and the "Qasd militia", the statement pointed out that the situation in the camps "remains difficult, especially in Al-Hol camp, which the" Qasd "militia has lost its control over and the influence of ISIS on its residents has intensified, especially children who are at risk of being drawn into Extremism ”.

The statement pointed out that “the authorities of all countries whose children live in Al-Hol camp and other camps in northeastern Syria must activate and coordinate the work of their security agencies, judicial bodies and human rights organizations in order to resume the process of returning displaced persons, as Russia does.”

The two bodies renewed their call on the international community to "put pressure on the United States and its allies to abandon its inhuman policy, which it is still practicing against Syria, to stop exerting pressure and destabilize the situation there, and to observe international rights and the principles of the United Nations."

The two bodies concluded their statement by affirming that "the return of the legitimate Syrian authority to all the territories occupied by America and its allies and the lifting of sanctions allows the settlement of the crisis in Syria and the return of security and stability to it."
