Occupancy in hospitals is increasing slightly.

Schools and daycare centers are reporting more and more outbreaks.

The predicted third wave of coronavirus is here.

District - More infections and a slightly increasing tendency of hospital patients with Covid-19: The third wave of coronavirus in the Munich district has begun.

It is all the more important now that many people are vaccinated.

Only, the expansion of the vaccination centers has been stopped, at the same time there are many discrepancies in the general practitioners' practices.

In the future, doctors will inoculate a large part of the vaccines there.

With the bureaucratic effort, vaccinations are currently only possible slowly.

Infection events: almost all corona cases are due to infections with a British mutation

Almost all new corona cases are due to infections with the British virus mutation.

District Administrator Christoph Göbel (CSU) assumed in a virtual press conference yesterday that the incidence value would continue to rise.

This is also due to the increasing number of tests.

The number of facilities with coronavirus cases has doubled compared to the previous week.

18 day-care centers and 14 schools are now affected by infection.

37 people tested positive, 470 people are in quarantine.

Individual daycare centers were completely closed.

On the positive side, there are currently no infected residents of care and senior citizens' facilities.

Only ten employees are infected with the virus.

The situation in clinics has changed

“In the stationary sector, the downward trend has stopped for two days,” said Göbel.

There is a slight upward trend in the occupancy of hospital beds.

In absolute numbers, the situation is not "dramatic", said the district administrator, but there is no all-clear.

For him that means: "We have to make progress with the vaccinations."

Around ten percent of citizens who are eligible for vaccination have had their first vaccination

Around ten percent of citizens who are eligible for vaccination have received an initial vaccination.

Compared to the previous week, the number of vaccinations increased by over 6100.

No new vaccination appointments are currently being made for staff at schools and daycare centers.

The reason for this is the vaccine from AstraZeneca, which is now also being injected into vulnerable people from prioritization group 1.

Vaccinations in practices: "The state must remove the crutch"

On Wednesday, the district office stopped all expansion plans for the four vaccination centers.

The decision was preceded by a sudden change in strategy by the health ministers.

A large part of the vaccine is to be inoculated in the 140 family doctor's practices in the district.

Only, the practices have not yet been prepared: six pilot doctor's offices will only go into operation this week, with ten more to follow next week.

Thousands of vaccine deliveries per day have already been announced for the end of March.

Doctors must now be involved, "otherwise we will have more vaccine doses than capacity," said the district administrator.

The district administration wants to “do everything possible” so that this case does not occur.

To do this, bureaucratic obstacles for general practitioners would have to be removed.

The vaccination documentation via the nationwide software "BayIMCO" also causes a lot of effort.

This bureaucracy is not compatible with a large number of vaccinations.

“The state must remove the crutch,” demands Göbel.

Appointment shopping from Saturday

For the third time in a row, the seven-day incidence exceeded the 50 threshold.

This means that from next Saturday, March 13th, stricter conditions will apply again.

Visiting shops from Saturday is only possible with prior appointment ("click & meet").

For every 40 square meters or part thereof, one person can visit a shop for a fixed period of time.

The contact details must also be stored.

In addition, it is still possible to collect pre-ordered goods in shops.

Museums, exhibitions, zoological and botanical gardens, memorials and comparable cultural sites will also remain open to visitors - but only if they have been booked in advance.
