The Ministry of Transportation is currently promoting an outline that will allow full openings of the sky for Israelis who want to go abroad, including vacations. According to the emerging outline, Israelis who have been vaccinated will be able to leave the country without the need for an exceptions committee.

There are currently only flights to 11 destinations and they are: Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Paris, London, Kiev, Toronto, New York, Moscow, Addis Ababa, Athens and Rome.

According to the emerging outline, the flights will be open to all destinations and so basically the sky should be fully open, of course under the corona restrictions.

Sources in the Ministry of Transportation say that if the outline is approved, Israelis who have been vaccinated or recovered will be able to leave the country without the need for an exceptions committee, but will have to perform corona tests.

Antigen test before departure from Israel and another before returning from abroad. At the same time, Israelis will have to perform a corona test within 72 hours before returning to Israel.

Children will be able to leave the country without the need for an approval from the Exceptions Committee, but will have to pass tests.

At the moment, no solution has been found regarding the isolation of the children back in Israel and at this stage they will have to stay in isolation after the holiday abroad, which should significantly impair the ability of families to spend time abroad.

The current decision to restrict flights from Israel to certain destinations is valid until March 20, and it is estimated that if the morbidity rate does not increase, it will end on that date.

If the outline is approved, airlines from all countries of the world will be able to return and operate direct flights to Israel, so that we can fly to a long line of destinations that Israelis already accept.

It is important to emphasize that in order to enter most destinations corona checks are necessary and it is important to check the entry conditions before purchasing the flight ticket.

Destinations received by Israelis include Turkey, Georgia (vaccinated), Seychelles (vaccinated), USA, Mexico, Ukraine, Tanzania, Maldives, Bahamas, Bulgaria, Croatia, Brazil, Panama, Costa Rica, Serbia, UAE, Panama and other countries.

Israelis are also accepted in Israel, and soon in France as well, in both countries there is an obligation to isolate.

In some countries in the US there is also an obligation to isolate, but it will be possible to land in countries that do not require isolation. Greece and Cyprus should allow Israelis to enter in the coming months and according to the Greek Minister of Tourism, vaccinated Israelis will be able to enter next month.

Earlier this week, El Al, along with the Ministries of Transportation and Health, began a pilot of green flights.

Antigen tests detect with 95% accuracy, according to Professor Gili Regev, whether the subject is in the contagious stage of the disease.

Today, the Bracelets Law, which is supposed to be part of the process of enforcing isolation for those who have not been vaccinated or recovered from abroad, was brought to the second and third readings.
