The French Pierre-Hugues Herbert won Friday the best victory of his career in singles by beating the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, 5th player in the world, 6-7 (6-8), 6-4, 6-2 in the quarter-finals of the ATP tournament in Marseille.
Currently 93rd in the ATP ranking, Herbert (29) is a doubles specialist, where he managed the career Grand Slam associated with Nicolas Mahut.

After this success against the double defending champion in Marseille, Herbert will face another Frenchman in the semi-final, the winner of the duel between Ugo Humbert and Arthur Rinderknech.
“It's amazing, it's my first victory against a Top 5. I knew I had to play a great game to win and that's what I did,” explained the very offensive Herbert after the match.
